Puffing With Cheese & Chutney

If you’re looking for a different way to use your chutney other than as a dip you could use it as the centre for a really good starter. We’re going to show you a really easy way to create puff pastry starters that are extremely easy to make.

Ingredients
Any chutney
1 Sheet puff pastry
1 Block of preferred cheese
1 Egg beaten

Method
Preheat oven to 190°.
Get a sheet of pastry and cut in to equal sized squares.
Get a good dollop of chutney and put it in each square.
Get your cheese and roughly break it off in small chunks.
Place the chunks right in the chutney.
Go round each square with the beaten egg and fold in to triangles.
Baste every square with some of the beaten egg on top.
Place in oven and cook for 20 minutes or until the pastry has turned brown.
Serve.

Our only advice would be to let them sit for a few minutes before taking a bite or else you’ll get a burnt chutney mouth.
