You can tell a lot about a person by which chutney they reach for at a restaurant. You could be the sweet tooth that dives in to the mango. You might by the spicy kind who dips in to the onion. Or you could be the kind of person who likes to awaken their tastebuds and goes for mint.
If that blast of mint is something you want to achieve at home then why not give our own mint chutney recipe a go.
What you’ll need:
1/2 cup mint leaves chopped
1/4 cup of onions chopped
1/2 large tomato
3 cloves ginger chopped
1 clove garlic chopped
1 green chilli chopped
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
Throw all your ingredients (except Lemon) in to a blender and grind well.
Squeeze the juice of the lemon in bit by bit.
When the consistency reaches what you prefer you’re finished.
If you’re not going to be using the chutney there and then you can wrap it up and refrigerate it. The chutney will keep for roughly a week but hopefully will be all gone well before then.
